When we communicate with others, we are not necessarily engaging with perfect human beings.
We all have both admirable qualities and shortcomings. In my opinion, if others’ negative qualities are not so harmful, then we should simply focus on their good qualities rather then their faults. If we only focus on the faults of others, then this promotes negative emotions within us such as anger, hatred, and disrespect, which will be of no help to anyone. Therefore, it makes sense to approach others with respect and without having unrealistically high expectations and standards. This can be the first step to building meaningful friendship
