Dear Friends of Zurmang
Vesak Day is on the 17th of May. To celebrate Lord Shakyamuni Buddha's birth, enlightenment & paranirvarna, we are planning for a full day programme on this auspicious day.
We are kicking off early with a Ceremony to observe 8 Mahayana Precepts @ 6.30am followed by reciting the 4-arm Chenrezig-Precepts Prayers throughout the day. As we have mentioned before, during Khenpo's visit last November, the precepts would have to be observed for 24 hours starting from sunrise. Therefore, you will be accumulating merits every second from the minute you take the precepts till the next sunrise! Rejoice!
Vesak Day Schedule
6.30am - Eight Mahayana Precepts Ceremony （八关斋戒）
8.00am - Breakfast （早餐）
9.00am - Recitation of 4-arm Chenrezig Precepts Prayers （四臂观音诵）
2.00pm - Recitation of Chenrezig Prayers （四臂观音诵）

Hello Dear Friends, we have great news for you!
The Venerable 12th Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche has brought with him the most sacred and precious Sri Singha Statue that belongs to the 6th Zurmang Gharwang centuries ago to bestow a special blessings on all participants this Sunday at Futsing Association Hall. Hope you will not miss this precious and rare moment!

Some friends have suggested conducting different pujas once a while in our Centre, and some have requested group practice on the recently taught Zurmang Ngondro, so on and so forth. Definitely, we are planning to and will try to accommodate some requests. First special program:

Hello Friends of Zurmang,
The Venerable 12th Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche will be arriving from Sikkim via Bangkok this coming Tuesday 24th May 2011 by Air Asia FD 3507. The expected time of arrival is at 16.35 Terminal 1.
We look forward to seeing you guys at the airport and especially at the coming program.

"Finally, after two weeks of memorable break, now, once again I am on the move to another face of my journey and before my semester begins in August at Harvard! I am really looking forward to seeing all my wonderful friends and students! In fact you are my true family! I learned a lot from such journey and I will keep learning in the near future from all you guys. Once you embark on Spiritual Journey there is no turning back and for me I have been doing this almost my entire life and I really don’t know when it is going to end and I really don’t know, what else to do when I am retired? May be open a travel agency to book ticket for either heaven or hell! However, I am really enjoying doing this-- I am always at your service!"

Thank you so much for your participation of our Amitabha Pureland Grand Puja last weekend. It has been a tremendous success and it wouldn't be so if not for all of you. Thank you again all volunteers and patrons!
Gharwang Rinpoche's teachings on 31 May & 1 June at Ngee Ann Cultural Centre were presented in a very lively and engaging manner for all the participants who were present and we have posted some of the pictures here for your viewing. We hope all of you have benefitted more or less from the recent programs and we certainly look forward to your future participations and support again.
