We all naturally wish for success in all aspects of our lives.

But practically speaking, it is not possible to be successful all of the time. Success and failure both are necessary parts of life, yet they are not so far apart from one another, and much of how we assess something as a success and failure depends on how we look it. For instance, when we succeed at some endeavor, we may develop arrogance and begin to take things for granted, which does not look like much of an achievement after all. Moreover, we may succeed at some short-term goal which comes at the cost of a more meaningful long-term achievement. On the other hand, when we fail to achieve a goal, although we may not feel proud of such a situation, failure can help us develop positive qualities such as humility. The process of not achieving what we set out to do also presents us with the opportunity to learn valuable lessons, helping us to discover new ways to work towards achieving our long-term life goals. Life is difficult and confronts us with all sorts of challenges, but if we open our hearts and minds, both success and failure can teach us valuable lessons which can help us make our lives more meaningful. Thus, we should embrace whatever comes our way and use it wisely to our advantage as a valuable opportunity to grow and learn.
