The benefits of mantra
include dispelling external harms,
Clearing away all internal afflictions of the mind,
Gradually eradicating all temporal suffering,
And ultimately bringing the attainment of omniscience for the benefit of all.
When reciting, regardless of the number of repetitions, proceed in this manner:
For the sake of all beings, go for refuge with the faith of conviction
to the Three Jewels and Three Roots,
And dedicate your practice wholly to the benefit of beings.
With reverence, offer your body, speech, and mind to the Three Jewels.
Arise as the yidam deity, and recite with mindfulness and awareness.
Without distraction, maintain a clear visualization as the deity, and recite the mantra as many times as possible.
In short sessions of meditative equipoise, maintain undistracted mindfulness and awareness.
When mistakes occur, acknowledge and confess them.
Dedicate the virtue so that all beings may attain the state of a Buddha.
By practicing in this way, true virtue will arise.
