Whenever we arrive at an airport, we naturally feel that it is only a temporary place.
No traveler intends to make the airport their home; everyone is simply preparing for the next destination.
According to the Buddhist view, our life in this world is much the same. We are here only for a short stay, and when we leave, we cannot take our wealth, possessions, or worldly struggles with us. Therefore, there is little reason to cling so tightly to the hardships, conflicts, and emotions that weigh us down.
Instead, we should focus on what truly matters—living a meaningful, productive, and compassionate life that benefits both ourselves and others. By cultivating wisdom, kindness, and virtue, we create the causes for a smoother and happier journey, both in this life and in the lives to come.
Rather than allowing our emotions to spoil this precious, beautiful, and purposeful human life, let us live wisely, with mindfulness, awareness, compassion, and gratitude.
