There are worldly and transcendent paths.
When, by means of listening, contemplation, and meditation,
you determine the unmistaken understanding of the nature of reality
but without realizing dharmatā directly,
this is said to be the worldly path.
When, due to an authentic guru together with the student's devotion and perseverance,
one realizes the true nature of things,
the dharmatā which was previously seen is seen anew,
and this is referred to as the transcendent path.
