One should tame the three doors and reduce negative emotions through listening, contemplating, and meditating,

which is the stable foundation for moral discipline.

Cut off learned forms of superimpositions, 

Having developed conviction through contemplation, increase meditative experiences and realizations.

Then, gradually meeting with, the natural state of dharmatā.

Then, primarily strive only at meditation.

 

In the beginning, give rise to devotion to the guru, and progress well towards a foundation for revulsion towards the eight worldly dharmas.

In the middle, remain in a state which is free from thought and distraction.

In the end, with the continuous armor of effort, I will remain without moving from mindfulness, awareness, and conscientiousness.
