There are fundamental differences between individual rights that we all know and appreciate and the right that Buddhism genuinely promotes to all walks of life.

According to strict Buddhist belief, one has all the right to be happy and prosperous. However, there is no scope to inflict pain or discomfort to others to make us feel better and safe. Because our right comes with responsibilities and respect or else it is simply an act of selfishness and greed. For instance, we cannot wish for our own business to prosper and wanting others to fail. Therefore, before we think of anything else there is always a responsibility that one cannot avoid carrying and running away.
