As practitioners we all should know between what is right and wrong. It is also very clear to us what the consequences of committing sins or making mistakes are.
I would say that the problem is, we simply let our old habits dictate and ruin our precious lives. As long as we keep blaming each other for our mistakes and bad habits, then we will not get better. Instead of progressing in our practices, we will get worse. Moreover, as many teachers often say, we should learn how to forgive, forget, and move on. In addition, there could be just one simple explanation why we are not making any progress in our practice as practitioners. The answer is loud and clear: we are preventing changes and we are holding on to ego and destructive habitual tendencies while simultaneously hoping to get better. ~ by Gharwang Rinpoche Hong Kong. 2/5/13
