The True Meaning of Religion.

Religion is very important to those who are looking for inner peace to free themselves from poisons such as anger, desire, jealousy and so forth.

Religion teaches you how to be good in nature and to be happy even in difficult times but not at the expense of others.

In addition to respecting oneself and others by understanding that everyone wants to be happy just like you do.

There are different beliefs in how happiness can be derived. However, I am pretty sure that most of us are aware that happiness comes out of satisfaction, contentment and limited desire. There are probably much more sources of happiness according to different beliefs.

Religion can turn to poison when someone interprets wrongly according to their need or wrong motivation. It can become dangerous and harmful. When religion is lived in the right way, it brings satisfaction and genuine happiness. Even for poison, if you used it correctly, it could save your life.

Unfortunately, what is happening nowadays is that in every religion, the true meaning of it is getting totally distorted and creating more confusion than help to believers. Although religion does not have the intention to make us slaves, however selfishness, egotism, pride, wealth and power have taken over the face of today's religions.

What is important is that one should learn from qualified teachers and make sure you respect other's belief. Be open, sincere and  let the teachings of Buddha take root in your heart!

With best wishes and love
