Dear friends,
Since I was very young, I have been interested in environmental issues
and particularly the health of the forests. Today, taking care of our environment has become a more pressing issue than ever before because, due to human greed, we are quickly destroying the only beautiful planet we all call home. Without a doubt, we are all responsible for our planet and each and every one of us has to take this responsibility seriously since the destruction of our environment will eventually adversely affect us all. Environmental issues are also held dearly by H. H. the Seventeenth Gyalwa Karmapa, who has dedicated so much of His precious energy and time to the wellbeing of our planet. I would like to take this special occasion to wish His Holines a very happy birthday! May all beings remain under your guidance forever, and may you always remain healthy and live a long life for the sake of all sentient beings.
