Friends play a very important role in our lives.

We tend to share most things with each other, but if we don’t choose our friends wisely, confiding in them could be our nightmares in the making. Having said that, a good friend can be essential when we are living in a chaotic environment, where we are able to assist each other when we need support of one another. However, from the Buddhist point of view, friends are important not just for hanging out or passing the time together. Most importantly, friends can help pinpoint and remind us of our hidden poisons and constantly connect us with Buddhist principles.

So, we have to check carefully to ensure that we are spending our precious time with the right people, or else our situation may only go from bad to worse.
