Sakadawa is a special holy day for all Buddhists

on which we celebrate the birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana of Buddha Shakyamuni. Although it is always important to practice acts of virtue and to avoid acts of non-virtue, Sakadawa is a particularly powerful time when the positive karmic effects of all our virtue is multiplied many times over. So, on this occasion, during this very difficult time for the world, we should all practice as much virtue as we are able and dedicate the positive results to bringing an end to the pandemic and delivering prosperity, longevity, and happiness to all sentient beings.
