When I look around, I strongly feel that we are missing one of the most important tools to understand the reasons and meaning of our existence in this world.
Many of us may plan for a future and to make it successful,. We start to acquire wealth, power and fame. However, we have never understood what impermanence really means, and how it affects our lives because nothing is guaranteed in anyone’s lives. For instance, someone could be our worst enemy today but tomorrow may become our best friend. Moreover, wealth, power and fame are not permanent and we may have it today but tomorrow we may lose all of them. When we understand the true meaning of impermanence, nothing in this world makes us upset or sorrowful. Therefore, it is always wise to always remember that we are not a permanent resident but simply a tourist and our package is arranged by our karma.
