Please do not hesitate to request for the soft copy of the condensed 100 Deities Prayer Text that we will be reciting together with Rinpoche and the monks, making supplications and aspirations for the benefit of all sentient beings including ourselves. According to teachings, puja practice contains energy, power and especially when you recite the prayer which involves rituals, we are able to help others. If one wishes to accumulate merits and accomplish wealth (not just materialistic but also spiritual wealth which is wisdom), the best way is to attend such kind of puja. By reciting sadhana together, there is more power and energy to drive away all the forces that hinder our practices. Pujas also help us to amend our broken samayas!
Kindly note that you may seek audience with Gharwang Rinpoche on Monday & Tuesday evening (30th & 31st May) between 7.30pm to 9.30pm or Wednesday morning (lst June) between 9.30am to 10.30am at ZKBC 301 Guillemard Road, Singapore 399740. Tel 67440198/90555517
Bardo Teaching Outline
Quintessential teachings on preparing for Death and the Bardo, a state after death and before rebirth, will be given by His Eminence. A bardo is a state that is “neither here nor there”: by definition it is something that comes “in between,” an intermediate state. the six bardos are:
- the natural bardo of the present life
- the hallucinatory bardo of dreaming
- the bardo of meditative absorption
- the painful bardo of dying
- the luminous bardo of ultimate reality
- the karmic bardo of becoming
Rinpoche will explain the different bardo states, preparing for the bardo of life and death, and how to live our life fully and joyfully benefitting others. The 100 Deities programme and Bardo Teachings are especially beneficial in times of uncertainty like these, when death can happen any time.
What we call life is threatened by various things, just like a candle flickering in the wind. Life is as transient as bubbles in water. The distinction between life and death is only that of an inhalation and an exhalation. That we actually wake up every day should be a source of wonderment! ~ Nagarjuna
Legend tells that when Tilopa was a young boy, he was put to a test by the great Siddha Nagarjuna who asked for Tilopa's help to cross a river. Carrying the great master Nagarjuna on his back, the young Tilopa waded fearlessly through the raging waters, never doubting that he would reach the other side safely.
Perhaps you may want to know that Trung Mase (lst Gharwang Rinpoche) was recognized by 5th Karmapa as the omniscient emanation of the glorious Tilopa, and concurred that he was destined to become the unequivocal holder of the Zurmang Kagyud Lineage and a successful disseminator of Buddha Dharma. Details and Biography of Gharwang Rinpoche from the lst to the present 12th incarnations can be found in the www.zurmangkagyud.org
That's all folks and thank you for your patience and support!
